The official FMJD 9-Star World Cup in Tobago, September 9–18, 2026. Over 200 players from around the globe compete in 9 Swiss-system rounds, fully FMJD-rated, hosted by the Trinidad & Tobago Draughts & Checkers Association.

FMJD 9-Star World Cup draughts in Tobago.

The Tobago Open World Cup 2026 is organized by the Trinidad & Tobago Draughts & Checkers Association (TTDCA), the officially recognized FMJD member federation. The event follows FMJD General Competition Rules, World Cup Regulations, Rating Regulations, and Arbiters Regulations Annexes. All games are FMJD-rated.

System of play: Swiss System over 9 rounds using official FMJD Draughts Arbiter pairing software. Time control: 90 minutes for 45 moves, then 30 minutes + 30-second increment from move 46. Optional Blitz: 5 min + 3 sec per move.

    Single room: $120 USD/night · Double: $75 USD/person/night.
